The international logistics services company "Rhenus Group" is interested in cooperating with ADY

Within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, productive discussions initiated the previous day between "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC (ADY) and Germany’s "Rhenus Group" on expanding cooperation in international transport corridors continued on November 21.

During a meeting with the delegation led by Tobias Bartz, CEO of Rhenus Group, the Chairman of ADY, Rovshan Rustamov, spoke about the modernization and electrification of Azerbaijan’s railway infrastructure and efforts to enhance the capacity of railways along international corridors passing through the country.

It was noted that reducing carbon emissions in freight transportation via international corridors is one of the primary challenges, and digitalization of operations is particularly important to achieve this goal. Against the backdrop of increasing international freight transportation in recent years, ADY has been actively collaborating with its partners to attract new cargo and diversify routes along the Middle Corridor.

Tobias Bartz emphasized that Rhenus Group provides international logistics services, implements projects in numerous countries, and offers solutions for complex logistics processes in supply chains for both public and private sectors. He expressed the company’s interest in cooperating with ADY.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on cooperation opportunities and other topics of mutual interest.
