Baku-Sabunchu

According to the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated January 22, 2018, the Baku-Sabunchu railway line has been completely reconstructed. The Sabunchu Railway Station, part of the project, has been entirely renovated. The three-story building has a total area of 4,100 square meters.

On May 21, 2019, President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the Sabunchu Railway Station complex and learned about the work being done on the newly constructed Baku-Sabunchu railway line.

The railway line is 13.5 kilometers in one direction. Along the Baku-Sabunchu line, the stations at Bakikhanov, Koroglu, Keshla, and Narimanov have been completely renovated.

As part of the project, continuing the works on the Absheron circular railway line, an underground car crossing with a length of 17 meters has been built in the village of Mammadli, as well as underground and overhead pedestrian crossings with lengths of 22 meters in the town of Kurdekhani.

Two new platforms have been constructed at the Sabunchu station, and lighting poles and modern passenger waiting areas have been installed. The station's three railway tracks have also been fully renovated.
