An exhibition titled "Steel Ladies" dedicated to International Women's Day on March 8 was organized at the Baku Railway Station

Azerbaijan Railways OJSC (ADY) has organized a photo exhibition titled "Steel Ladies" in honor of International Women's Day on March 8.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition took place on March 7, 2024, at Baku Railway Station, with the participation of ADY leadership and media representatives.
The exhibition showcases photos of female railway workers who have made their mark in the history of railways both globally and in our country, highlighting their significant contributions to the field, along with information about their lives and careers.
The transportation sector has been distinguished by the implementation of innovative solutions from the past to the present, with women playing a significant role in this development. The contributions of women to the advancement of the sector are undeniable, exemplified by trailblazing railway professionals such as Zinaida Troitskaya, the first and only woman to lead a railway mainline, Mona Srivastava, the first woman to join the engineering team of Indian Railways, and Olayv Dennis, the inventor of the “Dennis Pearls” installed on passenger trains. The exhibition also highlights the success stories of Azerbaijani female railway workers.
Speaking at the opening, the Head of the Public Relations Division of ADY, Sanubar Nazarova, emphasized that the main goal of the exhibition is to showcase the success stories of female railway workers through photographs and to promote the important role women have historically played in the development of the transportation and logistics sectors.
The exhibition will continue until March 15.
It is worth noting that for ADY, which aims to contribute to the transformation of Azerbaijan into a regional transport hub, the knowledge and skills of women are of special importance. Today, more than 2,000 female railway workers at ADY are aligning their career growth with the rhythm of railways. Through their passion and abilities, they have proven that women can succeed in any profession.
