Barda-Agdam

The design and construction of the Barda-Aghdam railway line started based on the decree No. 2305 of President Ilham Aliyev, dated November 24, 2020. The railway line has a length of 47.1 km along its axis. The railway is a single track, and construction and installation work are being carried out in two phases. As part of the project, the construction of a total of 130 engineering structures, 5 stations (Barda, Kocharli, Tazakend and Aghdam), and 34 switch devices are planned.

The length of the Barda-Aghdam railway line along its main axis is 47.1 km, and including side tracks, the total length is 57.857 km. The railway is a single-track and is not electrified.

On May 10, 2025, the Barda-Aghdam railway line and the Aghdam Railway and Bus Station Complex were inaugurated with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The Aghdam Railway and Bus Station Complex will operate as a unified transportation hub. The railway station will serve 800–1000 passengers, while the bus station will serve 1300–1500 passengers on a daily basis.

The complex, covering an area of nearly 8 hectares, includes all necessary rooms, as well as waiting halls, ticket offices, a library, shops, entertainment areas, a restaurant, and recreation zones.
Passenger access to both the train platforms and the designated bus stops has been ensured for convenience.
