Horadiz-Agbend

The design and construction of the Horadiz-Aghband railway line started based on the decree No. 2534 of President Ilham Aliyev, dated March 13, 2021. The length of the line is 110.4 km along its axis, and with side tracks, it spans 140.6 km. The railway is single-track, and construction and installation work are carried out in three phases.
As part of the project, a total of 534 engineering structures, 8 stations (Yukhari Marjanli, Shukurbayli, Soltanli, Gumlag, Hakari, Minjivan, Bartaz, Aghband), and 70 switch devices are planned for construction.

Design work for the railway line is 83% completed. Soil works, construction of artificial structures, and installation of upper structure elements for the railway are 65% complete. Mine clearance has been completed along the 60-meter width of the railway line, and clearance work continues in areas that require expansion.
75.6 km of the railway line (87 km with side tracks) has been completed, and 65.6 km of long-length rails have been installed.
